Dr. Julie Pershin, DOM
Julie Pershin has been practicing and studying Traditional Chinese Medicine for 13 years; although she admits it really is a lifelong study. In that time she has honed her craft and has also added numerous modalities beyond TCM to her skill set. While Julie is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine, that title alone does not fully define her scope of practice. She prefers to be called a Wellness Facilitator.
Julie incorporates aromatherapy and SourcePoint Therapy ® into her acupuncture treatments. She also practices Chinese Abdominal Massage and sometimes incorporates Qi Gong healing modalities into her treatments in the form of color and sound. Her strong personal daily practice of Qi Gong supports and informs her professional practice. Her definition of wellness encompasses the mind, body and spirit as inseparable, each one informing the other.
In her own life Julie has been cultivating her self-awareness of this belief for decades. A long time student of Tibetan Buddhism, Chinese Medicine and Energy Dynamics, Julie brings her ongoing history of self-refinement to the treatment room. Her practice is well-rounded in that she practices all four branches of Chinese Medicine including: Nutrition, Acupuncture, Herbology and Qi Gong. Her skill sets and knowledge combined with her compassion and sense of humor allow her to deeply care for her clients on a broad spectrum.
Julie has her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine, is licensed in the State of New Mexico and is Nationally Board Certified by the NCCAOM.
